Lost Pines Resort Wedding of Lacey and Chris

Lacey and Chris’s beautiful wedding at the the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort was held by the Colorado River among family and lifelong friends. The reception design was western themed and Lacey wore cowboy boots under her elegant wedding gown. Special lighting effects at the reception in the ballroom set the mood for fine dining courtesy of the Hyat Resort’s culinary staff. I have also posted some photos of Brenda Abbott’s beautiful floral designs and decorations.

Palazzolo Wedding at Kindred Oaks Under the Stars

Rosie and Jessie’s outdoor wedding at Kindred Oaks was held at dusk under twinkle lights and starlight. Beautiful weather and a tremendous spirit of congeniality set the stage for a night of romantic fun. Zuzu’s petals did the flowers, catering was by Courtney’s Catering, and photography by me!

Engaged In Austin Wedding Show Booth Design by Villa Antonia

I mentioned in an earlier post that I would be participating in Villa Antonia’s booth at the “Engaged in Austin” wedding show at the Westin Hotel at the Domain. Here are a few pictures of the setup by the Villa’s Shelly Gay and Vintiques Trisha Burnett. We met many wonderful brides, grooms and their families at the show, and got to network with our favorite vendors as well.

Military Wedding and Texas A&M Wedding at Villa Antonia of Trisha and Captain Michael David Piazza

Before I describe this beautiful wedding at Villa Antonia, I wanted to invite all of you that read my blog to come and meet me in the Villa Antonia tent at the Westin Hotel Bridal show in the Domain in Austin, Texas this coming Sunday, January 8, 2012.

It was my honor and pleasure to capture the military wedding of Trisha and Captain Michael David Piazza at Villa Antonia. Since we had captured much of the family portraiture at the rehearsal dinner at Maggiano’s Italian restaurant the day before (previously posted), we were able to jump right into photojournalistic coverage of the wedding day. The pictures speak for themselves, beautiful couple, wonderful family, A&M graduates fight song, a recessional with swords raised, and a PARTY!

Trisha and Captain Michael David Piazza

I get many questions each year about places to hold wedding rehearsal dinners and how best to capture them photographically. So, I am posting the rehearsal dinner of Trisha and Captain Michael Piazza as an example of how fun and spontaneous such events can be. Both Michael and Trisha have wonderful, loving families who planned the wedding together. After rehearsing their ceremony at Villa Antonia, the families gathered at Maggiano’s Italian restaurant in the Domain in Austin, Texas. The atomosphere was elegant, but very informal and  fun, There were MANY toasts, a slide show of the couple as kids growing up (precious) and delicious family style servings of several Italian entrees throughout the evening.  Don and I captured the rehearsal dinner using two different approaches, me near the family members during gift giving and toasts, and Don with a longer lens from the sides of the room capturing the laughter and love at a distance. I will post the Military wedding at Villa Antonia as well in a few minutes.
