B’nai Mitzvah Expo

The B’Nai Mitzvah Expo and Simcha Austin Showcase is this Sunday morning from 9:30 AM to 1:30m PM at the Jewish Community Center at 7300 Hart Lane in the JCC Gymnasium. Admission is free and Don and I will have a booth there. We are very excited to be presenting our work from Aimage Photography Studio at the show. The Villa On Lake Georgetown

This was our first time out to the new “Villa On Lake Georgtown”. Wow! A true Texas Villa. New, fresh, but exuding old world charm and nestled within the Texas terrain. Overlooking Lake Georgetown, this spacious villa includes luxury accommodations for families and the wedding party. An additional pavilion is under construction and is nearing the final stages of construction. I absolutely loved meeting Katelyn the new coordinator at the Villa On Lake Georgetown. She is so forthright and energetic, interested in the brides and groom having a perfect day. I can’t wait to start shooting weddings and portraits there next week. While we were visiting with Katelyn, Don took a few shots of the venue so that my blog viewers could get a sense of how modern, immense and yet intimate Central Texas’ newest wedding venue is. Chateau on the Creek

Last week Aimage was the featured photography studio at the open house of Chateau on the Creek. It was our first time to visit Chateau on the Creek and we were so impressed with its peaceful parklike setting. It has a real Texas feeling, natural, open and rustic with its tall trees, lanterns, pathways, and creekside views. Inside, the Chateau is warm and inviting with showcased vendors including Cakes by Cathy and Fancy Florals by Jocelyn Lawson. I was truly surpised and delighted by this tucked-away gem. Diane and Peter’s Romantic Destination Wedding at Trois Estate at Enchanted Rock

Diane and Peter chose Trois Estate at Enchanted Rock for their romantic getaway wedding. Nestled near the great pink granite Enchanted Rock close to Fredericksburg Texas, Trois Estate harkens back to a time of Southwestern Adventure. After they tied the knot in the cavernous underground wedding chapel on the Estate, Diane and Peter and I roamed around Rebecca and Charles Trois’ hand-built city scape capturing the post-ceremonial glow of their union against the Central Texas Hill Country sky .

Austin’s newest event facility, Shoal Crossing, recently held its grand opening and we were privileged to photograph the event. Shoal Crossing Venue is unlike any other in Austin. Created from the mind of events wizard Larry Killee, the meticulous design shows through in every detail. Its location is convenient, just before 183 on the Northbound frontage road of Loop 1 (Mopac). Elegant lightig, stately ceilings, glass carved chandeliers, immense grand piano, contemporary sculptures, and decor comparable with any New York cosmopolitan venue. Shoal Crossing!

Engaged in Austin Wedding Show at the Westin Hotel in Austin Texas

Don and I participated in VIlla Antonia’s tent at the Engaged in Austin Wedding Show recently with some of Austin’s finest wedding vendors. The Villa Antonia booth was decorated by Visual Lyrics and Vintiques owner Trisha Bennett and Villa Antonia Coordinator Shelly Gay. We had two digital screen displays featuring our wedding photography at Villa Antonia in the tent. Visual Lyrics created the vintage flair and floral magistry that awed every viewer. We just had to touch everything! Our taste buds were tempted by food provided by Jonathan of Creative Creations Catering. Also in the Engaged in Austin show were some of our favorite wedding vendors. Milton from Benolds Jeweler set the romantic tone in motion, Alexia Gavela’s bridal gowns and runway show added a flair of both sweetness and seduction, and Larry Killee of Sterling Affairs was on hand to introduce his fabulous new wedding facility Shoal Crossing.

Lost Pines Resort Wedding of Lacey and Chris

Lacey and Chris’s beautiful wedding at the the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort was held by the Colorado River among family and lifelong friends. The reception design was western themed and Lacey wore cowboy boots under her elegant wedding gown. Special lighting effects at the reception in the ballroom set the mood for fine dining courtesy of the Hyat Resort’s culinary staff. I have also posted some photos of Brenda Abbott’s beautiful floral designs and decorations.

Palazzolo Wedding at Kindred Oaks Under the Stars

Rosie and Jessie’s outdoor wedding at Kindred Oaks was held at dusk under twinkle lights and starlight. Beautiful weather and a tremendous spirit of congeniality set the stage for a night of romantic fun. Zuzu’s petals did the flowers, catering was by Courtney’s Catering, and photography by me!

I mentioned in an earlier post that I would be participating in Villa Antonia’s booth at the “Engaged in Austin” wedding show at the Westin Hotel at the Domain. We met many wonderful brides, grooms and their families at the show, and got to network with our favorite vendors as well.
